San Antonio, Texas

I have been to San Antonio six times now, it is after all the gateway to the Air Force via Lackland Air Force Base.  Downtown is bustling with tourists and newly graduated airmen. The Riverwalk is a great place to walk along and have a drink and/or meal.  During the night time the Riverwalk becomes a party, with plenty of bars including Coyote Ugly and Mad Dog’s British Pub. There are even party boats that go up and down the river.  My friends and I went to the Alamo so many times that we made it a joke to see if it was still standing, it always was. The Alamo is a must see, it has plenty of cool artifacts from the war.  Across the street from the Alamo is a slew of things to do including Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks, Guinness World Records Museum, and Tomb Raider 3D.  Taking photos with wax statues is always a great time, my first was sitting beside Dr. Phil on set.  The Shops at River Center is a great place to have an inexpensive/fast meal at the food court (Little Tokyo is my favorite).  San Antonio also has a Sea World, which was fun. North Star Mall is a good place to shop outside of the downtown area. South Park Mall is a little bit rough around the edges but still has the classic mall stores.  San Antonio is a great city to visit.
